Our Volunteer Board of Directors...
...is composed of five compassionate, mission-driven, lifelong animal lovers, who are dedicated
to advocating for the health and wellness of animals and the community. The Board's collective
experience and dedication help ensure our organization remains transparent, accountable, and
focused on creating lasting positive change.
Chairman
Stefanie Curland

Stefanie's love of dogs began in childhood
and has stayed throughout her life. As an
adult, she began fostering and adopting
rescue dogs, an experience that has been incredibly rewarding. The best dogs she
and her husband ever had came from
shelters. Their unconditional love, loyalty,
and resilience has enriched their lives
in ways they never imagined.
Vice Chairman
Sandy Workman

As a child, Sandy's mother would never
allow her to have an animal. So, after
college, she adopted her first cat, that
quickly turned into four cats! One day,
at Taco Bell, a lady was there with
a 5lb. Chihuahua that she was trying
to rehome. It was love at first sight for
both of them, and a decision Sandy
never regretted.
Treasurer
Tracy Gladd

The love of animals, especially cats, was
created in Tracy from as long as she can remember. In all her travels, she has always
come across a cat or two or three that needed some rescuing. Finding forever homes for unwanted cats is a passion of Tracy's. She
and her husband have three of the most
precious, loving, smart cats that they
rescued. They bring them so much joy.
Event/Fundraising Chair
Romaine Dunn

Romaine loves dogs, so when she was looking
for a meaningful volunteer opportunity in 2021, walking dogs and facilitating adoption events
at the local animal shelter was a logical choice. There she found Frankie, an exceptional companion, avid hiker and great camper.
Frankie lives happily with Romaine and
her husband in Franklin.
Secretary
Karen Cumsky

Karen's lifelong love of animals began when a friend reached into her pocket and produced her very first kitten. From that time, there was no turning back. Today, Karen and her husband happily serve a four-cat household, where the
cats definitely rule the roost! When she's not caring for her own brood, she volunteers at the local shelter continuing her love of animals.
